In Val Gardena huts are mostly open from late May to mid-October and from December to April. Between late October and early December the valley is almost entirely closed: on 31 October 2026 6 huts are listed as open (Baita Daniel, Baita Odles, Baita Saltner, Baita Seceda (stazione a monte), Baita Sofie and Malga Tirler). From 4 Dec 2026 they reopen with the lifts: 32 huts open that day, 41 in all by January.

- According to the official listings, on 31 October 2026 6 huts are open: Baita Daniel, Baita Odles, Baita Saltner, Baita Seceda (stazione a monte), Baita Sofie and Malga Tirler. The others closed between mid and late October.

- Only a few. On 1 November 2026 these are listed as open: Baita Daniel, Baita Odles, Baita Saltner, Baita Seceda (stazione a monte), Baita Sofie and Malga Tirler. After 2 November, according to the listings, only Malga Tirler stays open; the others reopen in December with the lifts.
- When do huts in Val Gardena reopen in winter?
- With the lifts: on 4 Dec 2026 32 huts open, others between mid and late December. In all, 41 huts on the list open by January.
- Is the Sofie hut open in November?
- The official listing gives 1 October to 2 November 2026, 8 am to 6 pm, then from 4 December. The Col Raiser gondola, which takes you there, ended its season on 1 November 2026.
