The Sellaronda and its surroundings in a single loop from Selva di Val Gardena: Gardena, Campolongo, Falzarego, Giau, Fedaia, Pordoi and Sella, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. It is our green route, the best one to start with.

Who it suits
The shortest route in the series, about four and a half hours of riding: ideal for a first ride in the Dolomites or a half day in the saddle. Paved all the way, with plenty of hairpins.
When to go
May and June, then from mid-September to early October. Passes above 2,000 metres can be closed by snow early or late in the season, so check before you set off.
Start and finish
Selva di Val Gardena. The route: Selva → Gardena Pass → Campolongo Pass → Falzarego Pass → Cortina d'Ampezzo → Giau Pass → Fedaia Pass → Canazei → Pordoi Pass → Sella Pass → Selva.
Good to know
From Canazei you ride up to the Pordoi and back down to take the Sella road: the Canazei–Pordoi stretch is ridden there and back.
