Who it suits

Riders with a few routes behind them: about 6 hours of riding, but with the most hairpins in the series, around 250. Works two-up too.

When to go

May and June, then from mid-September to early October. Almost every pass is above 2,000 metres: check they are open early and late in the season.

Start and finish

Ortisei. The route: Ortisei → Sella Pass → Pordoi Pass → Campolongo Pass → Valparola Pass → Giau Pass → Fedaia Pass → Gardena Pass → Passo delle Erbe → Ortisei.

Good to know

Between Valparola and Giau you necessarily cross the Falzarego Pass, and after Passo delle Erbe you also go over Passo Eores: that is why there are ten passes.

The stage-by-stage story, recommended stops and tips on timing and fuel will come with the complete guide to this route. In the meantime you can download the free sheet with map and stages.
