What it is like to ride.

From Cortina the climb is long and flowing, with wide bends; towards Livinallongo the road drops through tighter hairpins with fine views of the Col di Lana. It is busy all year, including winter for skiing.

What to see.

The Lagazuoi cable car leaves from the pass, with the First World War tunnels; the Cinque Torri and the Sass de Stria are close by. Legend says the name comes from a “false king” turned to stone.
