In short
The Rolle Pass (1,984 m) links Primiero and San Martino di Castrozza with Paneveggio and Val di Fiemme. Above the pass rise the Pale di San Martino, with the Cimon della Pala and the Vezzana, both above 3,100 metres.
Updated October 2026What it is like to ride.
It is a flowing pass: on both sides the gradients are never extreme. From Fiera di Primiero, via San Martino, the climb is long and steady; from the Predazzo side you climb gently through the Paneveggio forest. On the way down towards Predazzo, a turn-off leads to the Valles Pass.
What to see.
From the top you look at the Cimon della Pala, the profile the Guardia di Finanza put in its coat of arms. Close by are Val Venegia and the Colbricon lakes, in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Nature Park. The Rolle was already part of the Giro d'Italia's first Dolomites stage, in 1937.
